GTI Blog | SWIFT Gateway : at the heart of the transition towards ISO20022

International banking exchanges are reaching a new milestone with the progressive adoption of the ISO 20022 standard, a major development which replaces traditional SWIFT MT messages with XML-based messages.

To comply with the new standards, banks will need to migrate to SWIFT MX formats, in accordance with SWIFT requirements. Tests with the TCB will begin in June 2025, before a final migration in November 2025. This transition marks a decisive step towards more modern, rapid and efficient banking communication.

  1. SWIFT Gateway: The answer to ISO20022 migration challenges

The SWIFT Gateway positions itself as an essential solution in this migration : Independent from the Punic Trade application, it meets the requirements of CBPR+ standards, while ensuring optimal compatibility with existing banking infrastructures.

With its bi-directional conversion and easy integration capabilities, the SWIFT Gateway supports banks at every stage of the migration. Its reliability and adaptability make it an essential tool for meeting the 2025 deadlines.

The transition to ISO 20022 is not only a regulatory imperative: it is an opportunity to improve operational performance and adopt global standards. Thanks to the SWIFT Gateway and GTI’s expertise, banks can approach this transformation with complete peace of mind.
